Defintely the gem of Abilene and a must see for anyone determined to savour the place for an hour or more. Such it pity I visited in winter as the gardens will be lovely in spring or summer I'm sure. My tour guide, Dorothy, is a wonderfully informative and dedicated lady who is also a joy to spend time with.... more

The Seelye Mansion is a first-rate experience if you are interested in history and how the midwest American culture has evolved over the years. Our tour guide was insightful and energetic. There are many fascinating items and decorations within the mansion. We are glad we visited and got much more than we expected from a short stop on our trip! more

We toured the Seelye Mansion the other day and were pleasantly surprised at the wonderful archetecture and completeness of the collection. It's amazing that so much remains and so little was replaced or updated over the years. Very much worth the charge of admission--worth every penny! more
