The grounds were well kept and beautiful, especially the fountain. The library needs to be more accessible- they wouldn't allow you in to it to look at the books, etc. which seemed intimidating. The museum is neat and has something for everyone. It might be boring for smaller children, but they our kids liked the interactive displays and movie clips.... more

Traveling back from Colorado to Oklahoma, central Kansas becomes a good stopping point in the middle of the trip. We stopped on our way out to Denver, it was very worthwhile. Allow a couple of hours. There was a great museum, the boyhood home of the President and his family, the chapel where he and his wife and son are buried, and the Eisenhower Presidential Library.
