Easy to get lost if you try an alternate route down. The views are stunning on a clear day. Worth the hike for sure. There are signs up and locals warn of trail pirates that will hold you up and take all your money and valuables on this trail. Did not encounter any problems, but also left my gear at... More

You can turn this one in a training for the start of your next day trekking. Take the Lake Shewa boat ride first to the small temple island in the middle and then continue by boat to the opposite side of the lake, to the base of the trail to the World Peace Pagode / Stuppa. About one hour steep... More

We hired a car to take us up the hill to the World Peace Pagoda but after a certain point you have to get off the car and start hiking to see the Pagoda. The hike up to the Pagoda takes around 30mins. The hill on which the Pagoda sits is a bit steep and so I would suggest someone... More

Peace is a great value to underline and this is what this great white dome is for: it reminds us of the importance of peace by providing us a taste of it, with its silence, quiet beauty and great view on the Annapurna. Go in a clear day, if possible.

It took us about 30 minutes to hike up to the The World Peace Pagoda. It was well worth the climb. The views from the top are beautiful, the pagoda and the meaning behind it is wonderful, and you get some excercise climbing up and down :)

The Peace Temple (a.k.a. Peace Pagoda or Stupa) is probably my favourite landmark in Pokhara. Besides the fact that it has an interesting and tumultuous history and consists of statues custom-made by Buddhist countries around the world it is simply a special, quiet and beautiful place. Prayer flags flutter in the breeze, tourists wander bare-foot in the garden, there are... More

There's quite a hike to the top of this hill but the Peace Temple is really an interesting place to check out. It's tranquil with great views if the weather is good.
