We took some time out from a business trip to visit this "mini" forbidden city and were surprised at the detail in the architecture, furnishings etc. It's as if it's been transplanted brick by brick from China

Very impressive buildings and gardens close to the central city area.
The location is very near to the MRT station.
It seems like it is just underneath the buidling.
Just came out from the MRT and follow the sign board, you will easily find this location.
From XMD, we just need to take 2 stops to reach the nearest station to CKS Memorial Hall.
This place is magnificent! The buiding are...

Nothing much to see except a huge building and a hero's tomb. But the legacy of Chiang Kai-shek is an important heritage to the Taiwanese. He built not a province of China but a country of proud people. Accessible by subway...
Interesting place to learn history of Taiwan. Changing of the guards is a must, the bells on thir boots fascinating!!
You can find many detalles about the ex-president Chiang Kai-shek , no matter you like him or not

Informative and interesting - we had seen the other memorial hall in Canton earlier in our trip and really got a sense of the importance of this man and how is under appreciated by history. We got there to see the changing of the guard - awesome...!
CKS was a mainlander, so this place kinda takes you back to Mainland China. Nice gardens and architecture, an overgrown statue of the man himself, lovely theater, large space for kids to run around, many hawkers around, so its a good place for people watching (for free) on a weekend.
In a city crammed with buildings, sky scrapers, and traffic, CKS Memorial Hall offers an expansive park with much open air space. Fish ponds, bridges, flowers and floral trees.
