It was quite a dampener to the anticipation when visiting here. Shops and more shops. Only consolation, probably comes from tasting the Ah Yhong Noodles. Probably a good place for bargain hunters.

It was fun but I didnt see anything new there. The shops are pretty much just like what one can find in cities all over Asia. Some foods are interesting, they are sold in carts. But strangely at one point they all ran away. So I assumed they were illegal and the police must have been there to inspect....
We stayed here and highly recommend this suburb as it is one stop to Taipei Main Station and a lot to experience as you wander around, lots of eateris and goodies to try here. We visited an old temple on Chengdu Rd tucked amongst shops that we found very interesting. Go and visit this for yourself. Xi Men is one...

Wide array of shops and at very good prices too. The clothes were very trendy and I bought 8 shirts in one shop at one go. Definitely cheaper than say, Singapore and Bangkok.
