Lumpinee is the temple of Muay Thai and normally only the Thai fighters have the power and skill of fighting on this hard and dangerous style of fighting. Every foreign boxer that fight Muay Thai dream of to fight in Bangkok Lumpinee stadium but only the best have the privilege of compete in this historical stadium and discover the magic... More

Don't make the same mistake that we did of getting tricked into buying "VIP" tickets for 2,000 Baht ($67usd) - this is basically just the price they charge you for being a tourist. It's just a few feet away from regular seating, and the only difference is instead of sitting on a hard bench, you're sitting on a hard chair.... More

Take the MRT subway to Lumpini pay the 2000 baht for a ringside seat. Cheaper seats are avaliable, but ringside is worth it. How many sporting events can you go to in the USA for 67 dollars. Plus you get a real cultural experience. Go to Lumpini on a Tuesday or Thursday for best fights. It is really hot and... More

The Lumpini stadium is very easy to get to, when you arrive, their staff try to pursuade you to buy the very expensive ringside seats. Without problem I purchased the cheaper upper section along with all the Thai visitors who paid a fraction of the price. There always appears to be one price for foreigners and less than half the price... You have to experience this. Mind blowing stuff. You have to be a bit patient though, as the in between fights take a bit long, with there dance rituals in between. Well worth it!

Good location, easy to get to from most hotels. Great viewing of Muy Thai boxing. They put the foreigners/tourists up front and the matches run all evening. Very safe and you can take all the pictures that you want.

This is a rip off they charge foreigners 100x the Thai price! I spoke some Thai and pointed it out but they were rude and threatening! We refused to pay there FEE and left. Just like the Jet Ski and Gem scams.. DO NOT VISIT.

Yes, as stated in every review, this is not cheap. They clearly overcharge tourists the set rate of 2000 each for ringside. I attempted to purchase tickets to sit in the "regular" seats however they will tell you that those seats are not available (mind you the stadium was half empty). Thailand is a very warm place to visit. And... More

Foreigners pay 4-5 times what Thais pay. The signage is all in Thai (they even use Thai numbers so people don't question the 2-tiered payment system). I love 4 blocks from there and refuse to ever go back.

As has been said by other reviewers, Foreigners get charged over the odds for the boxing (2000 baht), but you do at least get ringside seats, and an insight into a real Thai boxing experience. The atmosphere is incredible in the stadium, with the Thai's shouting and cheering their chosen bet on to victory. The fights varied in excitement, as... More
