The best part was that we were able to meet the 81 year old founder who collected all the specimens. His wife is a PhD entomologist who is one of the world's top mosquito experts.

Great display of various insects, but no explanation for how they lived. Proprietor is very focused but fixated on looking for imagery in natural forms. (ok if you like looking for pictures of Christ in rocks or vegetables) Not a normal museum.
Not far from a city, close to Wat Suan Dok and to Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Centre.
This curious little museum, the life's work of its creator, is a special asset for Chiang Mai. Once you have had your fill of temples (of which there are plenty of beautiful examples in the old city), this is something quite different.
