We decided to take a cooking class very last minute and we are so glad we did. While I have cooked Asian before, my husband and I now know better techniques and know what to look for when preparing the food. We've been home for 3 weeks and have already made Pad Thai twice and the spring rolls. Perfecting our... More

The day started by being picked up at then Hotel, then taken to the local market to see the fresh veg being bought. We were on a half day course, but still made 4 dishes of our choosing. Great relaxed pace, cooking eating cooking eating etc. I feel I now have the confidence to try a few Thai dishes at... More

We highly recommend this class to everyone interested in Thai cooking! Cat, the chef and instructor, is very enthusiastic about the food and the cooking. And you'll get a great recipe booklet at the end of the course. We learned to prepare soups and curries that tasted just like the finest food we've tried in Thailand. The half-day course includes... I was on a class by myself which looking through the guestbook, looked like it was just bad timing rather than a regular occurance. The plus side was that I got one on one tuition from Gae. We went to the market and she taught me about the different ingredients we would be using, and then went back to the... More

They picked us up at our hotel. We started at the night market where she explained the ingredients we were going to use for cooking. We then walked to the school and had lots of cooking fun. The tour was only my boyfriend, me and another couple so we got individualized attention. We booked the day tour so we took... More

We booked the full day last minute through our hotel, and had the class to ourselves, only 3 of us. Our instructor Cat took us through the Market and showed us some amazing new vegetables and herbs. We then went to the cottage where we chose our dishes, we each choose different dishes for each course and Cat had no... More

One of the highlights of our trip was an evening cooking class we took in Chaing Mai! Kat was an amazing instructor, and she speaks wonderful english and is so friendly! She taught us how to make delicious dishes like green and red curry, spring rolls, pad thai, and coconut soup! After you make each course, you get to EAT... More

Loved the half day cooking course at Thai Cottage. We made 4 delicious dishes and had a lovely instructor who talked us through everything in a very helpful style. A relaxed and social atmosphere. It was one of the most fun and proud things I've done on my travels so far, I can't believe a novice cook like me can... More
