We visited Patara for a day being an elephant caretaker and I was grateful for the experience. I'm a serious animal lover and am usually a little worried that animal tourist experiences are not always particularly kind on their animals. I am so glad to see that such a place exists, where the needs, health and happiness of the elephants... More

I was a bit skeptical about this elephant farm (as I was with all EFs). This one was not touristy. The elephants are taken care of very well. It was an experience I am glad I did not miss. I would go back to Thailand just to do this again. The elephants and incredible, and Mahouts and owners all do... More

The elephants were happy, healthy and so well looked after, the groups are small and the caretakers are care takers. They are friendly, helpful and not at all pushy or demanding, with us or the elephants! This was an amazing experience I will not forget in a hurry!

It is an over hyped experience. It feels like an amusement park - only with live elephants. Poor creatures!!

Not much else to add to the title. If you want a day that you will talk about for years sign up now. I am very skeptical of places that use animals as part of a tourist attraction and spending the day at Patara put me at ease. My money was well spent.

This was a highlight of our Thailand trip and something we will take with us in memory for the rest of our days. The best way I can describe the experience is that it is not a zoo, it is not a circus, it is not for entertainment. It is a ranch and rather than horses, you are with Elephants... More

Sounds expensive but it´s worth it! And I got little bonus when little elephant wants to play with me quite roughly and I "dive" to the bushes. Few scars in arm and little scary :). Thanks for first-aid! And we got a lot of excellent pictures and videos also. Cheers to Buni the elephant and his caretaker! and all the... More
