First of all we thought this was very expensive for not a lot! Staff were definately not friendly and welcoming they acted like they couldn't care less if you were there or not! it was very steep so do not go if you find it difficult to walk - paths very uneven, falling apart in section and very steep. Maybe it was the grumpy door lady or the lack of any information. Maybe it was the cheesy giftshop. Maybe it was the dirty waterfall or maybe it was a combination of the above which has led me to sit here in the butterfly garden and write this review. I think I owe it to everyone out there who has... More

If you pass by Penang, visit their butterfly garden. It is beautiful, a pleasant guide explains everything about butterflies. The garden is colorfull, you can a have a few of the thouthands butterflies flying around in your hands. An amazing and unique experience. This koh Samui Butterfly garden is the absolute opposite: No colors, barely no flowers, no maintenance makes... More

The Butterfly Garden in Samui is just great to walk around and see pretty butterflies fly past. the location can be a pain to get to but the attraction is great. Takes an hour and a half to walk around but the view is nice. Not very well know secret

I like this garden very much. It is all under nets to keep butterfly in and have nice shade. The garden is set in the hillside so there are steps but many seats for sitting and looking at the plants, waterfall and butterfly. If you like nature this is good for you

We visited the Samui butterfly garden in April 2009 and found it to be a very tranquil, colourful setting with lots of beautiful flowering plants and a variety of butterflies to watch and photograph. We had a great time wandering along the paths and trying to spot the most fabulous butterflies. Some of the guides for the island list this... More
