We visited the temple while exploring the island by scooter. The mummified monk was very interesting. But the nicest thing was when we were leaving a monk called us over and blessed us, and tied white cotton blacelets around our wrists. We had several very cool things happen to us on our trip after that. Was it the monks blessing?... more

This ornate temple houses the body of Samui's most famous mummified monk Loung Pordeang. He died 30 years ago and is still sat in the same meditation position he died in.
