Busy and nothing that I was really looking to buy. We were warned by several people about pickpockets but had no trouble personally. It is funny that motorbikes came through the market despite it supposedly being closed to traffic.
This night market cannot be compared with Bangkok night market or similar. Narrow streets make it worse when it is crowded. Beware of prices. They may ask 10 times more than the actual price.
We went to the night market hoping to score some warmer clothes to wear. We found everything to be of poor quality and overpriced. I'm not sure what would interest foreign travelers at the market. Market is too crowded..lots of locals pushing and shoving. Stalls selling the same old stuff, low quality though...but be careful as you approach the END of the market at the barricade just before the 3 FRUIT STALLS (at intersection of Hang Dao & Cau Go).

This is a by average market. I expected so much more and when you consider how big it is, it is quite disappointing. It is very repetitive with stall after stall selling the same thing. I also noted a reluctance for vendors to negotiate prices (i.e. one item 250,000 dong, two items the same 500,000 dong). I expected much better...

Very hectic, crowded with more locals than tourists. Watch out for pick pockets
