The tour will include actively engaging in and learning about community development by providing a microloan to a woman we are going to meet, a traditional lunch and a selection of the following activities: learning about and even trying rice and tomato farming, a bicycle ride through the countryside, a walk through the beautiful forests, trying your hand at traditional fishing, visiting the location of a mystical historical legend and exploring a temple complex! « less

I took 2 of the high school classes from my International School out for the day. We started by meeting 2 employees of Bloom who rode with us out to the village. They were very knowledgeable and happily shared a grand deal of info with my class before we arrived at the sight. Our first stop was at a duck... More

I'd encourage tourists to spend their money on something meaningful. While you do so, you get to know something about the country, not too much, probably like the tip of the iceberg but still, you get to know the livelihood of the famers living below the poverty line in this country. Vietnam has been developing very quickly as everyone knows... More

We found the tour to be informative and interesting, but fun too. Lain was great, from dealing with our last minute booking, to answering all my questions, to recommending things to do during our remaining time in Hanoi. Meeting the people that the loans are going to was great and you get to find out loads about Vietnamese society that... More

We booked this tour as a charter for my travel party of 15 (extended family with 8 adults and 7 children, aged 5 to 13 years). This was the first time they had run the tour for a group this size and for so many children, however Supriya and Ly (our guides) made sure it was a wonderful day for... More

The team are extremely dedicated to helping improve the lives of the poor in the Vietnamese villages. It was great to see their commitment. They breathe this stuff. Perhaps a bit long, but we saw different projects in different places and learned some great information.

I live in Hanoi and have been on 2 Bloom tours so far. Given the nature of the tour (each tour visits different borrowers), both were unique, enjoyable experiences, and certainly different to the standard tourist offering! During both trips I have really enjoyed getting out of busy Hanoi, and having plenty of time to explore the countryside and learn... More

I am a faculty member who tagged along with a group of Singaporean university students who organized a field trip (on their own!) to Hanoi and Ha Long Bay. Having visited Hanoi a number of times prior to this trip I figured that I would probably revisit the typical tourist sites Hanoi is known for. While we did a bit... More

Excellent tour. The women we visited need our help so badly. It is nice to know the money we pay for the tour is being used so wisely. It is a pity there are not more toursnlikenthisnall over the world.

My wife and I joined the Bloom tour while visiting Vietnam from Canada in November. We were so impressed by how well run Bloom's tour was. Our knowledgeable, professional guides were so helpful and fun throughout the day. This is a totally different touring experience compared to the standard trips offered by the agencies in Hanoi. You visit a very... More

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids under 10) took this tour in Nov 2011. The tour and Blooms is operated by an inspirational group of young adults and you get the sense that they certainly very passionate and capable. People quickly get to know each other on the mini-van, and you get a great run-down of how Blooms... More
