Dongxuan market is huge with lots of stalls spread over 3 storeys. But the traders don't seem interested to sell to tourists. It looks more for wholesale. Shops are tight and corridors narrow. Tough to walk around especially with kids, and with traders carrying large loads around the market. Some of the toilet stalls are without doors.

The market has 2 levels, with many shops. We went there in the afternoon , about 3 PM. It was very hectic and chaotic. Don't take the title of this review in the wrong way, but this place is indeed a wholesale mad house. Mountains of jackets, accessories, clothing, souvenirs, fabric, bags, trinkets, lingerie, you name it.. fill the tiny spaces of each store.
