I loved the water puppets and was enthralled for almost the entire show. Technically it is amazing what they can do with the puppets, and the entire effect is beautiful. You have to go and see this for the fun of it and the 'cultural' experience. It is like something you have never seen before and will never see again! It does get a little boring after about 10 mins so don't expect extreme excitement, but if u can see the funny side of it, it's just so random! more

This was very culturally enlightening, and very entertaining. For those who found it boring, I would suggest beer... it helps. Air conditioning is lovely and cool, and the theater is pleasant. Watch out for the courting cockerils who produce an egg and then a chick. Overall, well worth 40,000 VND!! more

This is a traditional show - you don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand the story and if you are visiting a foreign country don't be so arrogant to expect 'subtitles or translation' Just enjoy it for what it is and maybe read a bit about it before you go.
