We had the "street food" menu, which was vibrant and tasty and very unlike any vietnamese food that I'd had before. (Sure you might say, spring rolls, barbecue pork and soup are pretty standard) but the way you put them all together to make "Bun Cha" was really awesome. The teacher was very friendly, very helpful (if anything a little... More

Four of us did a street food tour with Hidden Hanoi just today! We met our guide at our first restaurant destination and over some delicious Bun Cha (bbq pork with rice noodles, green papaya and greens) she explained the eating habits and traditions of the Vietnamese which was truly interesting. We were then taken through the market and anything... More

My partner and I booked a street food walking tour for our 1st morning in Hanoi. After arriving 20mins late we were met by Ann, a very charming and friendly guide. We ate at a local cafe, wandered through the market, ate some more, walked, then ate a little bit more. Ann is an excellent guide; the food was great;... More

We took the Street food tour with French quarter, a four-hour walking tour which incorporated both the tours above (as listed on their website http://www.hiddenhanoi.com.vn/). The cost was USD40 per person, for two adults and two teenagers. Booking was done by email, and other than an initial hiccup, was painless with fast responses. The meeting point was provided, and we... More

We went to a class that ran from 11am to 2pm. It started off with a cup of tea with our instructor, talking about VN food. We then did some chopping/prep and cooking. We prepared spring rolls (fried and fresh) and bun cha (char grilled pork balls and pork strips with noodles, herbs). It was very hands on with good... More

I booked a cooking course for my wife and self based on a little bit of internet research. The cooking course was more for my wife than for me but I still enjoyed myself. We did the market tour as well which was worth it as it is smaller than the principal market in Hanoi making it more manageable. It... More

We went along to Hidden ha noi with few expectations and we loved it! Ling took us on an informative market tour and led us with our 5 course lesson. She was lovely and we enjoyed her company during the day. We were able to do vegetarian versions of the dishes and they were amazing. We would highly recommend this... More

Taking the market tour and cooking class at Hidden Hanoi was one of the first things my wife and I did on our visit to Hanoi (and at the beginning of our first visit to Vietnam). It's hard to imagine a better introduction to the local foods and culinary customs--or a better instructor than Linh, a thoroughly charming and knowledgeable... More

Hanoi is one of my favourite places in Asia for food and I love the street eats. Learning to cook the real deal was great, but it turns out to be one of the best meals in town too. We did the Bun Cha with spring rolls. Great little location, and An was fantastic. Such a lovely lady and so... More
