As Amanda says, all the prep is done for you so the class is really easy. We made salad spring rolls (which is just a case of rolling them up), some little dumplings with sticky rice which we filled with pork and deep fried and a pork noodle salad. There were 8 in our class and most people were couples.... More

All the prep is done for you, so you do the cooking and assembly of the dish. Found the class really informative and the dishes we did all very tasty. It's definitely be trying my hand at Vietnamese cooking at home now.

My daughter, sister and I booked into this School and it was fantastic right from the start. We all met at the market and was given a guided tour to source our ingredients from rice papers, noodles, the freshest seafood and meat, fresh herbs and spices etc etc etc. Did you know that Vietnam has the freshest meat in the... We joined the gourmet tour which included a visit to Ben Thanh Market. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in this option as it allows you to learn about the local produce that is available in Vietnam. It was an interesting and eye opening experience for both my mom and myself. Chef Khanh, our teacher for the day was... More

As a working professional chef I can tell you this class is good not only for home cooks but for professionals as well. Vietnam is fast becoming a culinary hot spot and I can think of no better way of learning than taking this hands on cooking class. You don’t sit there and take notes and watch, You roll up... More

We have a rule traveling in Asia. Find the ordinary looking restaurants where the locals queue for a table and you are on a winner, cheap and delicious. It works often because one thing about Asia, there is so many incredible tastes, which, along with the profusion of TV cooking shows, accounts for a proliferation of cooking classes. The class... My boyfriend and I agreed that the best meal of our 3 week vacation was the one we made ourselves at the Saigon Cooking Class! We loved how hands-on, professional, and FUN the class was and enjoyed cooking with such exotic ingredients as night lily stem. I am a vegetarian and my boyfriend is an omnivore. Since I had informed... More

Our family with two teenagers had a great time learning to cook with the Saigon Cooking Class. The staff did all the prep work enable us to focus on how to effectively combine and cook ingredients. We did the full morning including the visit to the market. Lots of funky things in the market. While not the "eating zoo" of... More

My friends booked me this as a Christmas present. I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon at the Sigon Cooking Class. They have different menus on different days. I learnt about the different ingredients involved in Vietnamese cooking and substitutes I could make for ingredients I couldn't find back home. It was very informal and the 6 of us taking the class... More

My friend got sick, so I had to go alone. I had a wonderful time, and learned about a lot of new ingredients. I'm vegetarian, and they accommodated me perfectly. I just made vegetarian versions of the same dishes, so I didn't feel different or left out at all. I just made the food back home yesterday. We found most... More
