As a Hindu, Mariamman Temple was high on my list of must-sees in Saigon. I have to say, the temple was better than I expected. No hawkers bothering you, the caretaker Mr Rama and his son Mr Ramesh (part Tamil, part Khmer, part Vietnamese family) were very kind and gracious. This very small Hindu temple is just a short walk from the HCM City Museum. Various paining of Hindu deities line the walls, surrounding an alter in the center. Make sure you remove your shoes before going up on the raised platform. Don't make special trip to see this Temple, but since it is so near other points of interest,...
