This museum is very close to the reunification palace, within walking distance. I may have been naive, but I did not expect what I saw here. Theres not a lot else I can say about the museum that hasnt been said in the other reviews but it is definitely worth a visit.. Although it is shocking at times its very unassuming and its interesting to see the Vietnamese side of the war from their point of view. . The War Remnants Museum is by and large a photo and weapon collection from the Vietnam/American War. Of course, it's from a Vietnamese communist viewpoint and can be a bit propagandist; but that's what makes it interesting. I found the exhibit of photos of and by famous war correspondents to be greatly moving. Additionally, I was both enlightened and appalled... more

Very interesting to see what the war meant to the Vietnamese people. I had only seen American movies and documentaries about the war and in this museum you get the communist side of the story (many south Vietnamese people worked for the Americans, the museum doesn't tell their story, it only tells about the communist victory and about what they... more
