We visited the Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens during our stay in Saigon. It was quite a distance to get there and even the taxi driver didn't know where it was and had to look at the map to take us there. Not sure if he really didn't know where it was or if he was just playing stupid to... more
Avoid this at all costs - granted, the gardens are nice, if a little run down, but the Zoo itself is terrible. Really cheap to get in (about US$1.50), so not surprising that the conditions are so bad. more
This zoo is within walking distance of the central area of the city. It's not as large and doesn't have the variety of animals that the Hanoi Zoo has but it's still worth visiting. This zoo has quite bad standards but it is actually better than I expected it to be.
