I've crawled through airless tunnels before - in Valley of the Kings, for instance - to see impressive artwork, or a piece of history. But here the purpose of crawling was, well, just crawling. The theme park around the tunnels is quite cheesy IMO and tends to focus on human brutality instead of the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people. more

Like many historic tourist destinations these days, the place has been mocked up a little to cater for tourists. But despite that, I still found it to be an interesting, and at times overwhelming, experience to see the way the tunnels were used during the war. Definitely worth the drive in my opinion. more

Not really worth the long drive and lines to see a tourist trap. It is fun for kids - but if you are a history buff - then it is a bit annoying. more
