These urns are in the imperial city, I recommend taking a large counterclockwise circle so you will see them close to the end of your visit. Opposite is the main temple for the adoration of the emperors. These urns do not actually contain anything from the emperors, they are just there for remembering.

This is a lovely renovated area of the Forbidden City which has large urns, about 6 or 7 feet high that honor 9 of the most famous Vietnamese emperors starting with Gia Long.
One of the most interesting places inside the Citadel, a little off the beaten path, although many visitors are there. Watch out if it rains, the pavement is very slippery.
