also known as The Victory Monument, this glorious landmark is located on Lane Xang Road. it might look like a block of concrete from afar but get near, the architecture is amazing. pay 3000 kip (less than a dollar) and get up the stairs to the top. from here, you get a panoramic view of vientiane city. perfect for photographers... more

Nicknamed the vertical runway as it was built from concrete supplied by the US to build a new airport this 'Arc de Triumph' it worth a visit. The views from the top a good in that you can see everything around it but there isn't actually much to see. The workmanship is pretty shoddy and the area inside is filled... more
