Strangely on the side of the railway, but easily accessed and very lovely. Peaceful in a hectic environment
So glad I visited this place. It was a lot quieter than the other mosques and very elegant and simple.
Definitely worth seeing even if it is off the main area. Mosaics were colorful and very descriptive. The first I have seen showing the death bed of the Virgin Mary,
There's not a great deal to see - it's close to all the other sights and is worth a visit. You go through nice streets to get to it and it's and interesting neighbourhood. Very old. But the mosque itself has a very new feel to it (although it is very very old) as it's been newly refurbished.

As there are no good views to take photo, keep it for the extra days. there is a great painting art shop there, i bought a painting of istanbul from there. it is unique, however very little discount i got.
This mosque is not as busy as the Blue Mosque and is much smaller; it has a small market of artisans around it to buy personalized Turkish art.
