Going up to Masada is quite the exprerience, but I found the Masada museum to be boring and not worth the price of admission.
This was another experience, well worth it. It was fantastic how they put all of the history from many many years ago into this place. Unbelievable.
Worth visiting! The story of Masada is really impressive. The ruins are carefully preserved and you can take audio tour or can just explore signs and guide, enjoy great views of the Dead Sea, Jordan mountains and old Roman forts ruins.
Quite expensive - 72 shekels for visit with funicular for adult. But the parking is free and the site...

We've visited the museum with 2 young children, it was easy accessible with a stroller and our older child really enjoyed the movie before entering to the archeological site. The Masada Museum is a newer addition at the Masada National Park, dedicated to the archaeologist who did the majority of the work to excavate the site: Yigael Yadin. It is found just before the ticket booth and I believe requires a separate entrance fee. An audio guide is mandatory and photography is forbidden.
