Did the West Bank Tour from Abraham Hostel in Jan. Didn't have a good start. Initially asked if they could pick us up at Jaffa Gate, as it was nearer to our hotel, but lots of excuses given, at the end, we just met up outside Abraham Hostel. At first i thought it was a big group heading towards West... More

When planning my trip to Israel I discovered that Masada could be climbed before sunrise. I had to do it! The logistics presented a challenge, however, as I didn't want to stay overnight in the area. Abraham Hostel Tours came to the rescue with their Masada Sunrise / En Gedi / Dead Sea Float tour. Reasonably priced, it seemed like... More

The trip covered hiking Masada at sunrise, the Ein Gedi nature reserve, and playing in the Dead Sea. Our driver, Elon, was excellent. He provided commentary during daylight hours of the drive (he let us sleep the first leg) also helped with taking pictures for us at the Dead Sea when we were all covered in mud. It was an... More

Last February I took the Abraham Hostel-sponsored West Bank Tour. It was fantastic! When I travel, I like to ask a lot of questions. Our guide Tamer was very knowledgeable and personable and was able to answer all of them. He lives in the West Bank and understands the conflict intimately. Our first stop was Bethlehem where we visited the... More

Half day trip to Bethlehem with Abraham Tours were not as we had expected. The guidance was ok ... What ruined the trip was the visit to Old Cave souvenirs Store, as the entire group was asked by the guide to go to. The prices were very high and we felt that the owners along with guide and driver for... More

Thank you for providing us with this important feedback! At Abraham Tours and Abraham Hostel we are trying to offer a new brand of service which excludes some of the negative common practices of the local industry. Taking commissions from sales is one of them! As an Israeli I am not able to personally control the quality of the service... More

We went on a "Best of the West Bank tour" which was widely different from the tour description given in the brochure and by the person selling the tour. Missed off some of the major attractions which were why we chose the tour. No explanation was given why they were missed- there were no security issues or other factors to... More

Thank you for your feedback. I made a deeper inquiry into this with our Palestinian guide to make sure he had taken to the sites mentioned in the tour description as the " major attractions " of the tour: Bethlehem; Separation wall, church of nativity, Lunch, Solomon pools, Jericho; views of Mount of Temptation, Hisham's Palace, Taybe brewery , Arafat's... Took the Ein Gedi, Dead Sea and Masada day tour. Excellent, well informed and VERY personable guide. All three locations were fantastic and I hope to return in a year to repeat this excursion - an hour or two just isn't enought time to explore all of the nook and crannies of each site!!!!! Thank-you, Abraham tours, for making this... More

The tour is more like a very expensive tranportation agency because it just takes you to places where you have to buy your entrance tickets. The driver is fun, but he states himself that he is a driver, not a tour guide. A tape would be played while you are in the mini van that would explain the scenaries, as... More

Hi Moni_vn4, Thanks for providing this feedback and it's great to hear that you enjoyed staying at our hostel. I wanted to clarify that the reason we created this service was to enable our guests to enjoy the sites in and around the Dead Sea in one worry free enviroment day . It's close to impossible to manage visiting Masada,... More

Took the small group tour to Masada, dead sea. it was a cold day but a fun group. First stop Masada would liked to have had more time here to explore. Would give the museum at the foot of Masada a miss and spend more time at the top Did I mention it was cold, won't spend time on our... More

Abraham Tours runs out of the lobby of the Abraham Hostel in Jerusalem, They have a travel desk in the lobby where they book the tours and also dispense general advice and information on the city. They have a number of day tours, some within the city, and some all day trips going to various parts of the country. Some... More
