Title says it all. We planned on one visit and ended being there three more days. Regardless of your religious beliefs (or lack of beliefs) this is well worth the time to visit. And be sure to do the tour beneath the wall. Need to reserve at least a few days ahead.

I just find it awkward that women have to be on one side of the wall and men on the other side. Yes I know 'its me' but far out times have changed

The Western Wall holds different meanings to different people, but everyone can say the same thing - it's powerful! To know you're standing next to or touching a wall that has been around for centuries is impressive, and if it has a spiritual meaning to you, then you are even more impressed. Don't miss it!

...are upon this place and those who make aliyah here like nowhere else. Jerusalem is special, the navel of the universe and the Lord has chosen it as the place to put His name. There is nothing more inspiring than knowing His eyes are upon you and your heart. It is very, very humbling. It wrings the soul. I would... More

Not a place I would return to. Having to be concerned about a display of being a Christian (we were asked to put crosses etc. Inside of clothing as not to offend anyone) is not something I care to do. As a tourist, I spend a lot there and do not expect to be told I may be harassed for... More

Prepare yourself before you go to this spiritual place. The largest stones at the bottom of the wall are all that is left of the original temple.
