I was more than a little surprised at the vast number of gravesites that blanket this area, and the amount of tourists. It is a bit overwhelming. But, the view of the Temple Mount is iconic. Noone should miss the opportunity to see it for themselves if they are in Jerusalem. There are many stairs and hillside walks. I recommend... More

You don't want to miss going to the Mount of Olives. The views are astounding of the old city and the Kidron Valley.

Be still and know He is God. Jesus spent much time here, and so should you. Relax and meditate on all that is to be found.

We visited several holy places on the Mount and viewed the Old City of Jerusalem from there. It dominates the skyline. So much history in a small space.

If you are a Christian, you will treasure this spot...no words can describe . This is where Jesus stood and wept over the city, where he prophesized from The Mount of Olives to his disciples and Jesus ascended to heaven from the Mt of Olives as recorded in the book of Acts 1:9–12.

Take photos across the street to see the front of the church. Olive tree garden is also worth a photo. Church of All Nations, Basilica of Agony are the same church. Nearby vendors had panorama of Jerusalem for $1.

Compare the experience and photos of three short decades ago to see how Israeli settlements are destroying the scale, history and meaning of locations like the Mount of Olives with crude political land grabbing, add to that the never ending our buses, taxis and pilgrims blind with religious ideas and all significance can soon be lost...
