one of the most beautiful zoo I've ever been to. The animals have a lot of recpect there, wide cages and most of them are in open spaces. its clean, with parks where children can feel free all day long. The zoo spreads over a very wide place, so after a will you get tired... dont miss the insect "house" where... Good option to take children there while the adults in the group go to Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. It is well laid out with not too much walking. The zoo is close to the Malcha train station if you are coming from outside of Jerusalem.

While the zoo wasn't originally on our itinerary we decided to go in the spur of the moment. We needed to take a bus there from our hotel in Jerusalem. It was a beautiful zoo with a variety of animals and beautiful landscaping. The views of the nearby mountains were also beautiful. Next to each attraction there are descriptions of... More

The Biblical Zoo is the only one in Israel where animals are not simply bunched together in cages. It's a nice and varied park that could be a nice place to visit even if it did not hold a huge collection of animals, from big to small, from furry to aquatic

A small zoo in a great setting. An easy walk through a garden like setting to each animal exhibit. Not anything like a typical American zoo. Exhibits are not lavishly done but offer excellent close encounters with most of the animals. The enclosed bird sanctuarys were a favorite - you actually got to feed an assortment of small birds a... The Zoo has fine exhibits that display animals that are mentioned in the bible. It is educational and good fun for the entire family.

I love the setting for this zoo - it's hilly and beautiful. However, there is not much shade to be found and there was very little food being sold other than ice cream, so bring plenty of snacks. We saw interesting animals and loved our time there. If you get there at opening you will have the place to yourself... More
