You just get AWESTRUCK, almost overwhelmed with the antiquity and vastness of all the ancient yet even current grave sights. Very heart moving.

If you have the time you should visit this ancient cemetery which gives you a clue to the Jewish devotion to Jerusalem

My title says it all. The place itself is amazing - over 2000 yrs old, and used most of that time for Jewish burial (except for 1099-1187, and 1948-1967). The location offers a lovely view of the Old City. There is much historical and cultural significance at that site.

The is a very old cemetery that is still in use. It is important because it overlooks the Holy City and the Temple Mount. It is traditional to place a stone on the top of a tomb when you visit a family member. The more stones the more visits.
