having lived in paris for 25 years it is difficult to compare to the flea/antiques market there , but there is a genuine flavor in this one , i spent a nice morning strolling

I loved this Market. So many antiques and nick nacks to look at. So authentic in the old city of Jaffa. Everyone very friendly and lovely to see Jews and Arabs living together. We ate at cafe Yafo, an Italian kosher restaurant that I would have walked straight past, had we not been recommended. Really tasty food and kitchly decorated....

I have been here forty years and jaffa is one of my favorite places. Why? Trendy little shops and galleries. The flea market is no big deal, but there are a few very old shops there with a lot of old trinkets and other brik a brak. I even found a ww2 gas mask and a fifty year old doctors...
