Can take photos without flash. Dead Sea scrolls were cool to see. Overall, not very organized but in a charming way. Not North American or European museum standards but it was still enjoyable. Artifacts are plainly displayed - not a lot of explanation for the most part. A few interesting sculptures but the Dead Sea scrolls were the highlight for... more

Nice place to visit and it was really neat to view the dead sea scrolls. I would recommend visiting, but don't make it your top reason for visiting Jordan. There are many other sites that are much more appealing! :) more

While in Amman Jordan we visited Citadel Hill which was a site of wonderful ruins AND the National Archaeological Museum. The museum is not large but houses a wonderful collection of artifacts from all of Jordan's historic periods. Unfortunately, visitors were not allowed to take photographs at that time (Oct 2006) more
