It is serene, airy, peaceful, beautiful, with friendly guides who answer questions freely without proselytizing and who go out of their way to treat non-Muslims with dignity. A house of worship and contemplation, instantly recognizable as such by even the most jaded atheist.
Had a really interesting and informative tour from Sultan. Mosque is also lovely, much more understated than other mosques in the region, and much nicer as a result. Opens at 9am, contrary to the 8am quoted on a lot of official literature (shut Fridays), tours free.
Interesting with helpful and enthusiastic guides. The full tour can drag on a bit. Women have to put on a head scarf and Abyah (provided for you) and no shorts or short sleeved tops for men. Easy to get to with ample free parking.
Its pretty new and big mosque. For ladies no need to cover hair. You can take a tour or you can just go and visit. Its the biggest mosque of Bahrain. A good learning experience for any open minded individual. Beautiful architecture with a quick history lesson.
it is a must see place, it is good to learn about the religion and the culture of bahrain, it has a big library just opposite it is a nice place to be if you like reading
The Al-Fatih mosque is very nice and has beautiful architecture. The surroundings is also good and adjacent to it is islamic library. The chandlier inside the mosque is also beautiful.
I was not sure what to expect when going into the Mosque but it was actually quite welcoming. We were very very warmly greeted and welcomed to the Mosque. I was given assistance to get into the proper dress for women (which was an adventure all in itself) and then the 2 of us where given a private tour guide...
