If you are here for a day or for a few hours only, go to Souq Waqif and Corniche and you will have some good memories to take home.

You feel like you have stepped back... More

Ok, it may be slightly modernised in a hidden way but you still get a real middle eastern feel here. Shops that sell almost anything, and restaurants of all nationalities. Brillliant

Doha is a place of rapid change and with Waqif they have tried to keep a bit of the old style Qatar - which there is not much left of. It is indeed a bit touristy, but without many tourist attractions (beside malls and places to eat) this is a definate must visit. Had Arabic food in an outdoor restaurant,... More

A must see in Doha, as said before a bit touristy in parts but a good insight into some local bulk buying shops, fabic, birds and pets. This is the place to come if you want the tacky gifts, just don't forget to haggle as they will always start by giving you an over inflated price or asking you how... More

The place is full restaurants, from western to middle eastern restaurants. There are lots of shops from souvenir to spices at the market, the big Islamic mosque iand the new Gold souq is also nearby.
