The fountains such as Volcano and Pearl are no longer on the Corniche. There are very good large parks and playgrounds for families (although be alert as in most places there are no barriers to stop kids running onto the road). A great place to walk/cycle/rollerblade especially in the evenings. more

The Corniche is a beautiful place to go for a peaceful walk - extraordinary because it is situated in the middle of the city, along the coast. The lovely fountains are beautiful at day and night - three that are mentionable are the "Volcano" fountain, the "Dallah" fountain and the "Pearl" fountain - depicting three or four open oyster shells... more
