We had an excellent time with Bogota Food Tour on their "Mouthfuls of Moon" tour. Hernan was a great guide---very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Colombia's gastronomy, and everyone else involved (who worked for the company) was very friendly and helpful, too. We really liked the different locations selected for the tour stops, especially the opportunity to walk around in Usaquen, and to end the night perched above the city at a rustic little restaurant in La Calera. The quality of food was excellent, and the variety of food at each stop was perfect. I would be remiss if I did not mention that an enormous amount of food was provided, so definitely come hungry! All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience, and it allows you to see different parts of the city and sample cuisine (both food and drink) that is representative of Colombian gastronomy that you might not get to try otherwise. Bogota Food Tours makes the experience very easy for you, and we definitely recommend this tour.

We did the mouthful moon tour and boy was it a mouthful. I was stuffed at the first course the Lechonera. Hernan was a great tour guide that told us a lot about the history of the food and even brought some of the ingredients to show us. If you're looking for a food tour where you will be able to eat and leave stuffed this is it. Enjoy!

ogota food tours is a wonderful experience as you don’t only learn about typical Colombian cuisine, but also get insights about Bogota’s history and the cultivation of different ingredients. While going to different restaurants you have the chance to see a part of the city and learn about it’s past and present. There is a wide variety of food which is incredibly good and the tour is very interesting. For me it was especially good that the tour guides are very flexible with speaking Spanish or English – in general we did the tour in Spanish but I could always ask for English translation. It is also a great opportunity to get to know new people. We were a group of five guests from different backgrounds plus the tour guides and we enjoyed a wonderful evening together. Afterwards we exchanged contacts and already made plans to meet again. All in all, I recommend to anyone to do this tour, no matter if Colombian, foreigner or Tourist.
