It was very clean and there was a large selection of animals that seemed well taken care of.

The animals are kept in too small confines, in my opinion, very depressing to see that. To date they are working on improving the zoo, and if you want to see animals specific to the Surinamese jungle, give it a try. Other than that, it's not that much.

Compared to what it used to look like, it's like a little animal paradise. Small, but very nice. The current management knows how many types of animals they can accommodate, so they stick to that. It's also a great place to go if you want some peace and quiet.
