The entry fee is a little steep - I can't remember how many vatu but it was about AU$20 but its worth it i think just because its a major attraction in vanuatu and how often to you get to bathe under a water fall? Its a nice walk up to the water fall as you go through the gardens... more

Mele Cascades is definitly a must visit while in Vanuatu. You do not need to book a "tour", You will simply be wasting your money. The track is very visable and clearly marked and is an easy-moderate walk. Simply get a bus to drop you off and ask them for there phone number so you can ring them when your... more

One of the best things in Port Vila! Do try to go when there are not many others around (i.e. a non-Cruise tourists day, and around lunch time). We managed to go when there seemed like nobody was around, and it was magical to have the place to ourselves! The lagoons are so clean and refreshing. You can't avoid wanting... more

We went to Mele Cascades for some Wedding Photos, such beautiful scenery. Definitely recommend going here for some amazing photos. We were only sorry that we could not come back there to spend a relaxing day enjoying the waterfalls. Mele Cascades is definitely a place to visit when you go to POrt Vila more

The turquoise colour of all the pools, the endless cascades, the flowers, the climb through the waters to get to the top. MAGIC! Even my little girls (4 and 5 years) made it through almost all the way. There is construction going on at the base for a restaurant. Entry fee is steep, about 15US$ per adult, kids under five... more

We walked there from Port Vila, and it took around about 2 hours. We are experienced hikers, but it is generally flat and would not be challenging for anyone with two working legs. The locals will tell you that it's too far and that you should get a taxi, but don't believe it. The scenery is beautiful, and you just... more

We went here and spent about 3 hours enjoying the waterfalls. Take your togs/bathers as it's well worth a dip in the water to experience the power of the water. Jandals/thongs are ok as footwear as well. The falls are quite spectacular and there is a number of places where you can capture some good views of the river and... more

This trip was great. We did the afternoon tour (2pm - 4.30pm) with Evergreen tours. I know a lot of people had said do it yourself but I'm so glad we did the tour. We were two families and had a 7, 4, 4 and 2 yr old with us. The guide was excellent and entertained the children the whole... more

We headed over there one sunny day in a van. Only cost minimal cant remeber exactly how much though was a nice scenic route there as well as it was dropping other passengers off along the way. Got out, paid the entry fee. Again cant remeber how much. Started off on the walk, quite easy for us (and we arent... more
