Expensive but worth it if you have big stomach. this restaurant used to be used for presidential/political treat purpose only. It was secret place for the public for a long time. Recently it is privatised and we can also enjoy nice food and scenery at the garden. this restaurant is surrounded by the moutain/old fortress. That produce also nice night... More

i lived in korea for 2 years, ate at a lot of traditional korean restaurant and tried lot of delicious and amazing korean dishes through those 2 years. However, samcheonggak wasn't one of those nice traditional restaurants. Food is good but nothing is amazing or spectacular. Moreover this is more like a korean european fusion were dishes are microscopic and... More

Got the free shuttle bus outside Kyobo bookstore in Gwanghwamun. The restaurant has nice a modern deco. The service was really good. We ordered "Dongbaek Sura" - cost around KRW 61,000 inc tax. They brought a menu to us - written "A dining table prepared with sincerity for you someone special" - how nice. There were 9 courses including dessert.... More

4 of us had lunch there and I can't praise this place enough. The food tasted delicious and looked exquisite. The service was flawless. The setting alone is worth the price. We paid $160 (no beverage other than the tea) and felt money well-spent. Definitely my top recommendation for an authentic Korean meal. After lunch, we wondered around the beatuful... More

It's very expensive. But if you can afford it, I would definitely go there for a lunch and a stroll through the grounds. Lunch will cost about KRW 50,000 and so it is not cheap. This is the place if you want to host a special lunch or dinner event for guests. They have beautiful hanok buildings as well as... More

A beautiful complex nestled high in the hills of Seoul. You can dine here or learn tea ceremonies. I had dinner. The quality and presentation of the traditional meal was fine but a bit on the bland side (no msg here!). Honestly I thought it was overpriced, but you're paying for the atmosphere and view. I've had better food in... More
