Its a good experience for travelers who perhaps have never been outside of the U.S. but the Nile River trip was nothing special for us (we have traveled before) We prefer local guides whenever we go--not an American who does not speak Arabic. Still, for those who want "culture comfort" of having an American with you, it's okay.
