If the crowds and hustle and bustle of Cairo is starting to get to you, a couple of hours here high up over the city will renew you. Pleasant with a nice view of Cairo.

A great "hidden" gem - one of the places that tourists don't often get to go to because there is so much more to see. But the views from the Citadel are amazing and the mosque is mind-blowing. Al-Qalaa is located atop of hill with a great view of one side of Cairo. Well spread location, one needs to be walking a lot to cover the whole place. Beautiful architecture

Make sure you take your school id if you are going, they definitely give you half off everything in Egypt with a school... More

Apart from great views of Cairo from two different terraces, there is not really that much to see here apart from a mosque and a bunch of walls and run down museums. If you have time, fit this in for a quick view of the city below, on a clear day you can see the pyramids in the distance.
