Some of the statuary is beautifully displayed in a garden setting.
This deeply carved cartouche is on one of the architectural fragments on display.

Unfinished, without feet and laying prone, the detail and finished work on this statue is incredible.

The outdoor museum at Memphis is basically a sculpture garden that showcases thirty or so figures, some architectural fragments, columns, and other stonework excavated at nearby sites. Memphis is a rural farming town and very poor. It is very difficult to believe that Memphis was once the Capital of Egypt (1700 BC - 1500BC).
