This pyramid looks majestic against the desert backdrop. Looks even bigger than the great pyramid of Cheops as it stands alone. Not crowded with tourists and no hasslers here.

Not as impressive as saqqara and giza but you have to see this as its another part of the history & development of the pyramid.

If you are in Cairo and you are fascinated by the pyramids – the region of Dahshur is not to be missed. You need to drive through an oil field to get there, but when you do it is a step back in time. You are likely to find yourself alone with the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid is astounding, despite the fact that the inner chambers are flooded with the smell of urine. The Egyptian authorities should be embarrassed.

In March 2012 Dahshur and Meidum pyramids were one day out of our 6 days tour around Cairo monuments. We went with Golden Pyramid Travel (GPT); they provide the Hotel Taxi Service in the Horizon Pyramid Hotel where we stayed for 8 nights. We designed a 6 days tour with Ahmed (general manager of GPT) and off we went! There... More

Worth the time to see the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, make sure you take the time to go to Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid
