This is definitely a place only to visit if you really have extra time and have children, as there are so many other interesting historical 'real' attractions in Cairo. Kids will enjoy the boat ride but it really is very 'Egyptian style'. Don't expect Disney World displays and attractions. Smaller kids should like it though and the replicas of the... More

well it is a place where people are dressed like ancient egyptians to show you their life style, how they wrote on papyrus, how they hunted and what were the tools that they used in their daily life.well not bad as you get to wear a pharaonic costume of your choice and take a picture.

Situated on a island on the Nile its a nice place hidden between the chaos of the Cairo city. It is an ideal one day ( 4 hours) tour that can kick start your kids' ( even yours) interest in ancient Egyptian Culture. You can take camera with you and snap wherever you want. Since you have to walk a... More

My husband and I visited the Pharaonic Village last December. There was enough for us to stay the whole day. We bought a package ticket that gains entry to seven museums ( there are many mini museums within the village) 436LE or 68AUD and 3-4 packages to choose from. The place looks a little tired in a few spots but... More

it is a project done by the famous egyptologist Dr. Ahmed Ragab, when he was alive there was more than 200 actors employed there dressed like ancient egyptians and acting infront of gusts like the ancient egyptian daily life activities, but now almost all of them had been replaced with statues, many additional modern museums had been added, the visit... This is an interesting place for a half-day visit but not to be mistaken for a serious museum. For that the Egyptian Museum off Tahis Square is the place to go. The Pharaonic Village is explored by a leisurely boat trip round and island in the Nile where there are is series of tableus, presented by actors in period costume,... More

I visited the Pharaonic Village after I read a review on your site recommending it. I went there with my husband but we wish we had brought our kids along with us. The place is a real family destination. I love Egypt and have always though that I have to read piles of books or watch documentaries to learn about... More

I just hate it it is a silly place not worth the time, it may be good if it was not in Cairo, but in Cairo just get real and go to real places and do not waste your time !
