I loved that place! We had a tour guide who told us about the extracting proces and let us smell some of the essences. I bought 8 essences for 100EP one. They even offer some that are used for making chanel or Dior perfumes. I bought j'adore from Dior and it IS the same... Plus you get free Karkade :)

We were left regretting our willingness to let our guide cajole us into this visit, a lot of hard sell & a lot of very strong heady oils that left us with headaches, it alos took a lot of washing to rid ourselves of the overpowering smell, would never go to anything like this again

First the artist gives you a brief history about the plant being used for your perfume. I chose a perfume made from pyrus plant that supposedly Cleopatra's perfume of choice for seducing men. lol I dont know about all that, but the perfumes are amazing.

We bought some rose oil to burn in a burner when we got home but found the same stuff at the markets for 1/4 of the price.

The shop certainly has a very large variety of perfumes and oils to choose from. The perfume bottles were beautiful but I think everything was way overpriced. I felt obligated to purchase something and after I got it home it seemed to have lost it's appeal and some of it's scent.

We went to the Perfume Palace and were expected not much. We ended up getting a great salesperson and were pleasantly surprised. We didn't feel the least bit pressured. The guide explained the perfumes, oils and natural items used. We both ended up mixing difference scents and left with a pleasant reminder of our trip to Giza.

No rip off on the price, but as with every perfume shop you should go without a guide or the price will go up. They pay the guide a commission, sometimes as much as 50%. This applies to papyrus, alabaster, perfume and gold. Find out first how much it is before going! This one was ok with the price, and... More

They say upfront that they aren't pushy but that quickly turns into a sales pitch after they've gone through the oil selection. Plus you're almost forced to accept a 'complimentary' drink. We ended up walking out when they wouldn't take no for an answer.

supremely sublime scents greet you as you walk into the perfume palace. after a very informative tour of how perfume essences are extracted...drying of flowers ,boiling them, distilling the liquid etc they start bringing the essences out,,each one better than the other, and one is caught helpless between the desire to own something so sublime and the complete knowledge that you...
