Just back from 5 day cruise on the MS Kasr Ibrim. Sensational boat with service and food to match, nothing too much trouble. Excellent excursions with first class guide. Ended up at Abu Simbal temple which is stunning. Will repeat the cruise. Highly recommend this boat.

Just returned from a 4night Lake Nasser cruise on the MS Prince Abbas with VJV. The boat is a rated 5*, not perhapy as luxurious as the Nile boats but nevertheless extremely comfortable and well appointed. Our 3 day booked trip on MS Eugenie was transferred to MS Kasr Ibrim (Lack of tourists during November 2011). This cruise boat is finished in an art deco style and is lighter than the MS Eugenie. We arrived late at night on the ship and were warmly greeted by the manager and staff and a welcome drink. We were pleasantly surprised at the spacious surroundings. We were led to our cabin and were met with a lovely smell on the way. Our cabin was spacious and very clean. and contained everything we needed in the way... More

The dam was impressive actually deserves a proper exhibition. Talking after our hols we were told that a cruise onwards from here is well worth it
