This is the site of the Philae Temple. The boat ride adds excitement and charm to an interesting, well-preserved site.

Travel to Philae island by boat and then listen to the story of the temple lit up against the night sky, very dramatic and exciting

This is one of the largest Ancient Egyptian monuments standing today at the island of Agilkia, which was constructed by the Roman Emperor, Trajan. in 1960 UNESCO saved Philae island due to the Aswan dam and brought it to Agilkia. The island that now to become the new relocated Isis temple was amazing, Some yellow flowers with very interesting smell grows there along with other few more vegetation!

It was a brilliant trip. We went twice, firstly at night for the sound and light and secondly be day - both very different experiences. The island itself is rugged and beautiful, with craggy rocks frequented by birds visible from the outer peremiter of the temple. Just a stunning display! Easy to get there by boat and enjoyable to walk through as the narrator takes you on an historical visit to ancient Egypt.

You will really enjoy the boat ride from the shore to the island where the temple is.This temple was also relocated from the original philae island which was submerged .It is a beautiful temple of goddess isis and her relations which horus and osiris.

Philae was one of the stops on our Nile Cruise we took a small boat from Aswan to the island. The site is surrounded by trees and flowers, the temple was beatiful.
