the most interesting thing about this is how they moved abu simbel and philae and other islands to build this dam.. the dam itself is frankly not worth going to as nothing really to see (other than the dam...). No much to actually see except a monument to celebrate the collaboration with the Russians.

It is worth a quick visit - 10 minutes is sufficient for a look and a photograph.

It was worth seeing the high dam to see how hard people have worked on such mammoth task to control the water in Egypt.There was a monument with 5 pointed fingers on nearby in honour of all the people that worked on the dam.

Every corner of the high dam tells a story of an important part of Egyptian history.
