Dropped in this free museum for a couple of hours. You need your passport to get a free ticket. It is located at the north end of Wangfujing street, near the Prime hotel. This museum has shifting exhibitions. Remember your passport which you have to present to get a free ticket. I was so lucky to see a magnificent Chanel exhibition (yes - Chanel) - for free incl. a beautifil catalogue.

We spent a couple of hours in the museum. It had a major theme running at this time, celebrating an anniversary of the museum. There are many floors of various subjects,covering painting, calligraphy, sculpture, textiles, all Chinese, easily accessible by lifts and very spacious.
