I could say I am an enthusiast. So I took a lot of pictures while trying to recognize the Chinese locomotives that were "borrowed" from Europe, including my country.
It is a fact that China has now an incredible infrastructure and they invested so much in developing railway transport.
About a third of this museum is dedicated to high speed...

First, let me say that this museum, housed in the refurbished old railway station buildings at Qianmen in the heart of Beijing city, is NOT the same place as The National Railway Museum which lies outside the north-east 5th ring road. If you want to see real full-size original locomotives go to the other place. I reviewed it some time...

I visited here on the off chance, having really enjoyed a trip to the National Railway Museum in York, and also always having had an interest in trains. The museum is on four floors and charts the history of China's railways - unfortunately though there are mainly only models and specific parts of trains/related equipment, rather than any preserved trains...
